Description

An evening out with :iconpjharps: and :iconladysharkbite: it wasn't quite how I planned it as the tide was in which was a shame but hey at least we got some fresh air, shame there wasn't a better sky.

Your image reminds me of a trip to Cornwall about 10 years ago, which included a walk out to St Michael's mount at low tide (and a boat ride back later on after the tide was back in).

First of all, your picture is very striking, and in fact I think the sky you are complaining about actually works really well because the tone fits together nicely with the water in the foreground. The slow shutter speed gives the water an almost mystical look. I like your choice of foreground too. It breaks things up a little without being intrusive.

If it were my image, chances are that I would run it through Photoshop and I would play a bit with the shadows/ highlights adjustment to bring out a bit more detail in the rocks that are in shadow and with the trees on the island. While I like images with borders, I find the black outline a bit overpowering and distracting and would perhaps just stick with a plain white frame.

Anyway, a great picture. I really like what you have done.
